Kelis, who is currently preparing for the release of her sixth full-length album, Food, is announcing another culinary inspired endeavor. She will host Saucy and Sweet on the Cooking Channel. The show will feature a behind-the-scenes looks at Kelis’ life and music career, and of course some cooking lessons covering Kelis’ favorite recopies, like milkshakes (I’m not sure about that one actually), jerk ribs, shrimp fricassee, goat cheese ice cream, and more. Want an advanced taste of some of Kelis food? Try her recipe for Plantain Mash. Watch a teaser for the show here.

After the release of her album Kelis Was Here, Kelis began training part-time as a chef. She studied between 2006 and 2010 and eventually graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. In October 2013, Kelis debuted “Feast, ” her ginger sesame glaze sauce line, at the Las Vegas Food and Wine Festival. Kelis’ began combining her interests in food with her music back in 2001 with her collaboration with Foxy Brown, ‘Candy.’ Does Saucy and Sweet sound Tasty enough to you?
