Alanis Morissette Shares New Album Details

Last night while attending the American Music Awards, Alanis shared some information on her new album. She said a total of 31 songs have been recorded, and plans to include 12 on the final product, and that it should be out in Spring or Summer of 2012. She also said, while fans should not expect a "lullaby album," that her recent motherhood profoundly affected her, and some songs will touch on the innocence that her child has brought into her life.

Lady GaGa Teases 'Marry the Night' Video

Lady GaGa has released part of the prelude to the 'Marry the Night' video. Through her twitter account, she shared, "The full prelude is 7 min 33 seconds & 15 frames. This will be the longest video I've released to date. ... The beginning of the story I never told you."

Watch as GaGa is wheeled down the hallway of a what we're meant to believe is a mental hospital, narrating her way through, touching on psychology, fashion, and nurse's ass. The prelude is transcribed below.

Res & Talib Kweli Release 'Idle Warship' Album

POE Returns to Music

Hey M.O.D., are you out there? At least some "Angry Psychos"? It's been awhile since we've heard new music from POE. But, in an interview she did with Spinner in 2010, she revealed she is crafting a to return to music, after an infamous contract battle with her previous label. Well, the wait is almost over! POE just released two short tracks included on Danny Elfmans' Reel Steel Soundtrack: 'Parkway Hotel' & 'Why We're Here.'



While the tracks don't contain any actual words, POE's vocals are a welcome sign that we are about to be RePOEzessed. More info on POE's musical history after the jump.

Also, if you were paying attention to our poll where we asked "Whose album are you looking forward to the most?," The Mistress of Groove herself made sure to cast her vote on her upcoming album.
